Privacy Policy : Audio Editor & Recorder

Effective date: September 26, 2026
Developer: Roshan Aryal
App: Audio Editor & Recorder (com.aarapplabs.audioeditorandrecorder)

Roshan Aryal operates Audio Editor & Recorder (the “App”). This Privacy Policy explains what information the App accesses, what stays on your device, how advertising and subscription providers process information, and the choices available to you. It applies to the Android App.

1. Audio and files you choose to use

Microphone and recordings. If you choose to record audio and grant microphone permission, the App uses your microphone to capture your recording. The recording is saved on your device. The App does not send microphone audio or recording files to our servers for processing. You can deny or revoke microphone permission in Android settings; recording will then be unavailable until permission is granted again.

Audio library and imported files. If you open the device audio chooser and grant audio access, the App reads information about audio on your device, such as file names, folders, and duration, so you can select a file. If you use the Android file picker, the App accesses the file you select. The App makes a local copy of imported audio for editing. It does not upload imported audio to our servers.

Editing and Clean Voice. Trimming, mixing, waveform generation, and Clean Voice noise reduction run on your device. Clean Voice uses the RNNoise library locally. The App stores working files, saved projects, project names, and related editing information on your device. It does not provide your audio content to Google Mobile Ads or RevenueCat for ad targeting or subscription processing.

Exports and sharing. When you export audio, the App writes the finished file to your device’s music storage or the App’s external files area, depending on your Android version. If you choose to share or move a file using another app or service, that recipient handles the file under its own privacy practices.

Android backup. The App currently permits Android backup and device-to-device transfer. Depending on your device and backup settings, eligible App data, which may include locally stored recordings and projects, can be included in an Android-managed cloud backup or transfer. These backups are controlled by the device and its backup provider, not by our audio processing service. You can manage backup settings on your device.

2. Settings and information you send us

The App keeps settings such as your theme choice and whether you have completed the introduction on your device. It also keeps recording information, including names, dates, lengths, and local file locations, to display and reopen your recordings and projects.

If you choose Send feedback, contact support, or send a message after an in-app rating prompt, your email app sends the message you prepare. We receive the email address, message, and any details you include, and use them to respond and handle your request. Please avoid emailing private recordings unless you want us to receive them.

The App does not require you to register an account with Roshan Aryal to record or edit audio.

3. Advertising

The free version of the App may display banner and interstitial ads through Google Mobile Ads (AdMob). Google’s advertising SDK may automatically collect and share information such as your IP address (which can indicate approximate location), interactions with the App or ads, diagnostic and performance data, and device or account identifiers, including an Android advertising identifier where available. Google uses this information for advertising, measurement, and fraud prevention. The ads you see and the information used for them may depend on your device, region, and Google settings.

You can manage or reset your advertising identifier and available ad privacy choices in Android or Google settings. An active ad-free Premium entitlement suppresses the App’s banner and interstitial ads; Google Play and RevenueCat may still process purchase-related information to manage the entitlement.

For details about Google’s practices, see the Google Privacy Policy and how Google uses information from apps that use its services.

4. Premium purchases

If you purchase or restore Premium, Google Play processes the transaction and RevenueCat helps the App verify and maintain your purchase entitlement. RevenueCat may process an App User ID, purchase history, product or subscription information, transaction or purchase tokens, and related technical information needed to manage the purchase. RevenueCat normally creates an anonymous App User ID when no App account is supplied. We do not receive your full payment card details through the App.

Purchase information is used to show your Premium status, restore eligible purchases, and remove ads when Premium is active. For details, see RevenueCat’s Privacy Policy and the Google Privacy Policy. Uninstalling the App or deleting local data does not automatically cancel a subscription; manage or cancel it through Google Play.

5. When information is shared

We do not sell your recordings or imported audio files. Information may be handled by Google for advertising and purchases, RevenueCat for subscription management, and your device’s backup provider as described above. We may also disclose information you send us when reasonably necessary to comply with applicable law or protect users and the App. Other apps or services receive an audio file only when you choose to export, share, back up, or transfer it through your device.

Google and RevenueCat may process information on servers outside your country under their own privacy policies and safeguards.

6. Retention and deletion

Locally stored recordings and projects remain on your device until you delete them, clear the App’s data, or uninstall the App, subject to any Android backup or restore behavior. A saved project can contain its own copy of an audio file: deleting the original recording does not necessarily delete that saved project’s copy. Exported audio can remain in your device’s music storage even after you uninstall the App; delete exported files separately using your device’s file manager. Temporary processing files are removed when processing finishes or is cancelled where possible.

To remove App data, delete recordings and projects in the App or use Android’s Settings → Apps → Audio Editor & Recorder → Storage → Clear storage. You can manage Android backups separately in your device settings. Google and RevenueCat retain advertising and purchase information according to their own policies and applicable legal requirements.

To request access to or deletion of information you sent to us, or to ask about your subscription information held through RevenueCat, email aryaltechnology@gmail.com. We may need reasonable details to locate your request. We cannot delete records held independently by Google Play or your device’s backup provider; contact those providers or use their controls for their records.

7. Security

We use Android’s app storage and permissions to limit access to local files. Providers such as Google and RevenueCat use protective measures for data sent to their services. No method of storage or transmission is completely secure, so please protect your device and be careful when sharing recordings.

8. Children

The App is intended for a general audience and is not specifically directed to children under 13. If you believe a child has sent personal information to us through the support email, contact us so we can review and, where appropriate, delete it.

9. Changes to this policy

We may update this policy if the App, its providers, or legal requirements change. The updated version will show a new effective date. Please review it when you update the App or if you have questions about its data practices.
